In-house IT team or IT outsourcing?
It depends on whether your IT work is continuous or arrives in waves.
Mid-sized organisations hit this question once their systems outgrow what one person can look after.
If most of the work is continuous — supporting users, maintaining devices — an in-house team is usually better value over time, provided you accept the cost of hiring and retention.
If the work arrives in waves — a new system, a migration, a specific software build — an external team is more flexible, because you can size it to the project.
In practice many organisations run a hybrid: someone in-house who understands the business and coordinates, with an external team covering specialist work and peak periods.
